Narengerel (means "sunlight"), born April 1984, passed away soon after her 21st birthday on May 8, 2005. Her family and loved ones gathered at the time of her passing. Her funeral was held soon after the first rays of sunlight on May 10, 2005 at 7:00 AM.
Visions of Sunlight: Narengerel's New Home
I can almost see her now, a grand entrance into the world for which she was created. She is there, looking forward and back, simultaneously. She sees clearly her earthly sojourn, one severe in its mercy, one severe in beauty. And like a glorious sunset descending on those Mongolian mountains, she leaves in her wake a brilliance that descends slowly into shadows. This journey is now complete.
Eyes adjusting to the mist of the morning, she moves. So moves tentatively at first, for it has been some time since she has lifted hand or foot with freedom. Finding that her limbs are strangely light, she experiments with lifting them gently from her side. Soon, her arms reach to the sky, circle, and come down. Her head, now unburdened and light, bows in reverence to the glory about her.
She begins to test her strength, and finds she is strong. She sweeps her head down, side-to- side, back. Her hair, free and falling, softly wraps beautifully around her shoulders. Gracefully her arms spin the air around her, wrapping the beauty of this new home around her.
She is in the sunrise, in the flowers, in the air that blows softly about the whole and vibrant form that now is her body. Head up, Narengerel beholds the glory of a true sunrise, and owns her own name in all the meaning that was meant for it: "sunlight". The sun has come, come to warm, come to radiate and glow on this new life.
Moving forward now, tentative steps turn to spinning and with arms thrown up in the air, she welcomes new life. The dance has truly begun. Spinning, leaping, laughing, loving, lost in the rhythm and music of vibrant life. There are others, too, coming into view. They are dancing with freedom as the light shines on them.
There is pure joy now, a welling from the deep springs within. It is another day, a dawning. The tears from Nara's face are swept back in the breeze and disappear. Her face whole--every part perfectly in place--shining.
Dear Sister, one whose name means "sunlight", dance now. Dance in the dawn. Dance in the coolness of this new day, for now there is no more darkness, no more pain, no more tears of sadness. And look upon Jesus with your radiant face, unveiled and free; a face with no shame. You are home.

"But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
Now the Lord is Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is freedom.
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory
are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory,
which comes from the Lord, Who is the Spirit."
